cuff + hammer

Cuffs with lace, cuffs with frills and cuffs with embroidered tulle. Cuffs galore!

If you're in or near Toowoomba this weekend, I'll be at the Queens Park Craft Bazaar (my first market!) so drop by and say hello.

Anyone got any market-stall tips?

Good luck at your first market!

I recommend setting up a mock up stall before you go. That way, once you get there, you'll know exactly where you want everything so you'll be able to set up and sell, not mess around with moving things here and there or wishing you would have brought such and such for display.

Have fun!

good idea with the mock set up. Also:
price your items in 5 and 10 dollar increments. Makes it easier for change.
Wear an apron with a zip pocket to keep your float in, be safe!
Make sure prices are clear, people don't like to ask.
Make initial eye contact then appear busy with something else, customers don't like being watched while they browse.
Take food even if you are so nervous you keep throwing up! that will pass and there is nothing else than being hungry if you are not busy.
that last one might only refer to my experience? :-) that is all I can think of for now. Best of luck

Best of luck with the market! No advice I'm afraid as I've never done one before (would love to though - just have to build up more stock....). Look forward to hearing how it went! Cheers, Bec.
